Natural Disaster Strikes Japan on March 11, 2011

LAWRENCE, MA (March 15, 2011) – On Friday, March 11, 2011, a magnitude 8.9 offshore earthquake struck near the east coast of Honshu, Japan, 231 miles northeast of Tokyo. This massive natural disaster has caused substantial damage and the recovery will require significant effort.

Our parent company Sekisui Chemical, has many plants and some 19,000 employees in Japan. Fortunately, all Sekisui employees have been accounted for and the factories and offices in which they work have sustained no significant damage.

The thoughts and prayers of all Sekisui Voltek employees are with the Japanese people as they struggle to overcome this tremendous difficulty, and we ask that you keep them in your thoughts as well.
