Seksiui Voltek Winner of Prestigious Industry Award

Michael Pawlisheck named NALFA’s Lammy Associate Member of the Year
LAWRENCE, MA (May 8, 2008) –
Michael Pawlisheck, Technical Service Engineer of Sekisui Voltek, LLC, a global leader in the development of high-performance cross-linked polyolefin foams, recently won a Lammy award for making the greatest contribution to the responsible growth of the laminate flooring category during the last year.

The Lammy Awards, originally started in 2006, are NALFA’s (North American Laminate Flooring Association) creation for recognizing outstanding contributors and contributions to the laminate flooring industry.

The NALFA board of directors anonymously nominates individuals and organizations in five categories: Member of the Year, Associate Member of the Year, Distributor/Retailer of the Year, Member Company of the Year and Associate Member Company of the Year. The nominees are compiled, listed on ballots and sent for voting to NALFA members as well as the editors of Floor Covering Weekly, Floor Covering News, Floor Focus and National Floor Trends.

Pawlisheck, along with the other award winners were featured among industry press and their colleagues during a special evening awards ceremony at Surfaces 2008, a major laminate flooring conference held this year on January 30 at The Venetian Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

“I am honored to be recognized by NALFA and hope that my efforts will continue to contribute to the growth of the Laminate Flooring market,” said Pawlisheck.

The flooring industry has, in years past, been dominated by traditional application surfaces such as carpet and hard surfaces. With the continued support of NALFA for the past eleven years, laminates are now known for their high quality attributes and are considered as good as, or better, than other traditional flooring. Today, laminates can replicate any type of flooring surface available in the industry.

“The Lammy awards are NALFA’s way of recognizing people in the industry that make the extra effort to help manufacturing excel and grow,” said Bill Dearing, president of NALFA.

A solid presence in the laminate flooring segment for 10 years, the North American Laminate Flooring Association is an organization of U.S. and Canadian manufacturers and importers of laminate flooring products. NALFA’s mission is to encourage the establishment and maintenance of high standards in laminate flooring in North America, to recognize those that meet these standards and to recognize associate members who provide products and services to the laminate flooring industry including how to become a member or associate member, visit www.nalfa.com.
